Supporting Internally Displaced Families

On July 14, IHS Cameroon supported 17 internally displaced women from the Northwest Region currently seeking refuge in Foumban (West Region). In partnership with the Red Cross, IHS Cameroon donated business starter kits to help these women set-up small businesses such as tailoring, hairdressing and catering to generate their own incomes. With IHS Cameroon’s support, they have been able to provide for their families and help generate new jobs in the community. The Red Cross have estimated that this initiative will positively impact approximately 300 internally displaced people, as each recipient’s family has an average of 15 people in it.
